i cannot for the life of me find BSD subsystems anywhere on cydia!
i need it to SSH to my computer, so can anyone suggest an alternative?

No you don't. BSD Subsystem was an old 1.x implementation, thus no longer offered/needed. All you need is OpenSSH in Cydia. Download it and you are golden. :)

Ahh, I read that wrong perhaps? You want to SSH TO your Computer FROM you iPhone? If so, there's apps in the App Store that you can buy to do this, not sure about any free ones there or in Cydia.

If you want to SSH to your iPhone from your computer, then OpenSSH in Cydia is the way to go. :)
 
OpenSSH should be both server and client.

You can ssh into your server via Mobile terminal
just type
ssh -l user server

i wanted to get a video from cycorder to my computer. i've done it now...thanks.
