I'm trying to install windows on my MBP C2D, i get through the windows installation but then windows gives me the blue screen of death while installing the drivers from the bootcamp CD.

If I restart in windows, it boots windows but I have no keyboard or trackpad functionality (ie it's worse than before using the bootcamp CD).

Any ideas?

PS : this has happened twice, after the first BSOD I went back to OSX deleted and recreated the windows partition, and burnt a new drivers CD (2nd time at 10 times speed).

oh and i'm using a brand new windows xp home with sp2 OEM disk.

Sounds like the problem my brother's Macbook had. Here's what I did to get it to work:

1) Install XP SP2
2) Install drivers. It screws up with keyboard/mouse
3) Use bootcamp to relaunch the XP installer
4) Select 'Repair Windows XP installation'
5) Re-install apple drivers.
6) Your computer now works.

I have the same problem, got the BSOD with the driver install.

I have been trying to fix it using the method Xenesis posted but when it comes up on the screen stating "Press any key to boot from CD...." pressing keys on the keyboard does nothing!
Also tried with my apple keyboard plugged into the USB port :(

Did you guys have the same problem?

Everything is fine in OSX, the usb connected apple keyboard works when xp is booted though.

Any ideas? thanks

Ahhh...at least I know I'm not the only one. I have the exact same problem. I had XP installed before and it worked fine. For some reason I didn't install my antivirus software, and of course, got infected and had to erase windows. When I tried to reinstall, it crashed with the driver cd....any ideas why this happens?

My windows totally screwed up when doing the repair, it got to installing devices, disabled my usb (keyboards and trackpads/mice) then presented me with a dialog to accept the non signed wifi driver. Which i couldn't click of course!!

Makes me so happy I have ditched windows as my main OS! Just need apple to license Directx off MS now ;)

I had to reinstall windows, now this time i gave windows some time to install each driver after clicking Yes to the WHQL warnings. All drivers installed with no BSOD, looks like bluetooth is working too (the icon stayed in the taskbar :) )

It's never a good idea to install all drivers at once in windows, hopefully apple will give them to us in separate installs at some point in the future.
