BTO = lower chance of yellow screen?

Do you guys think that a BTO has a lower chance of a yellow screen? It seems that every report I've read about seems to be in a stock configurations (mostly 21.5").

Maybe the stock configurations do not have as much QA testing since they just roll off the assembly line, but the BTO actually requires more attention to detail. I may be totally off base, but it's just a thought. (Hoping I'm right, since I have a 21.5" BTO on the way to me now).

I had 2 27" bto's arrive this weekend. Both were perfect. Both had been booted and had the mouse and wireless keynoaed synced.

Nothing concrete. Im still installing FCE and getting things where i want them. I will say that load times are wonderful.

Awesome. I look forward to hearing more about them! Also, it looks like we have the same MBP. How would you begin to compare load times, general speed of use between the new i7 and your MBP? I am trying to convince the wife to let me upgrade. All she uses the MBP for is iPhoto, iTunes, occassional iMovie and then exporting everything to Facebook. So I am trying to convince her that even her experience will improve drastically...

All i use the mbp for is writing essays and general laptop surfing while in the living room.(atleast before we got our ipads). Odly enough all my posting on here is done with my ipad.

I do have lightroom installed on the mbp with about a 75 gig photo library. A dirty test between loading and applying a few filters and exporting the files to my facebook page had the imac in the lead by a significant margin. Keep in mind this was far from a scientific test.

Load lightroom, edit a 12meg .nef raw file, correct levels, apply 3 artistic filters, and export as jpeg.

I7 imac: 1:45 min
MBP:4 min
24" c2d imac: 3:30


Again take the results with a grain of salt.
