Hey everyone, quick question to those that are running Yosemite: Is it still possible to change the font and bubble color of incoming and outgoing messages in the Messages app, as it was so far (screenshot below)?

If yes, then can you also change the color of SMS texts?

Thanks

Out of curiosity: am I the only one who gets different kerning for the font between the input box and the conversation view?
I had changed the font size in Messages in Mavericks, so I wonder if it kept the setting. I already deleted all the preference files I could find related to Messages, but nothing changed at all (how does one reset it?)
It's a small thing, but it's somewhat annoying.

One is white on a blue background and one is black on a white background. On my retina MBP I notice the black is a bit clearer and the white is slightly less but that might actually be a thing.

Send a picture in Messages?

I may be overlooking something here.
Is there any way to use the camera built into my MacBook Pro to send a picture while using the Messages app? The Messages app in iOS 8 has a camera icon on the left of the window where you enter text.

I think it is different, I was talking about this with a friend and he overlapped the screenshots to make sure, and they do not overlap as they should. The font is the same, but the text both has a wider kerning. Another friend confirmed it's the same for him on non-retina, however, so it's not some old preference file that got carried over and is not unchangeable. Bugs of youth, after all it's a .0 release :)

Probably because they need to distinguish between Blue and Green bubbles better.
That was my immediate thought as well. There has to be a consistent way to distinguish between free iMessage messages and potentially paid SMS messages on both OS X and iOS.

The ability is still there...

No the ability is not still there. If i wanted to make my font size 72 i could but now i am stuck with the stupid slider someone posted above

I have the slider set furthest to the right aka the largest size text available

Take a look at the attached photo it is irritating as hell on a 13" god only knows how bad it must be for those with a 15" screen

That doesn’t look right. When I set it to the largest size, the text is ridiculously large.
