I just noticed today that there seems to be a type of pin-prick bubble in the back of my iPhone.

I'm pretty anal and its annoying me just to know its there. Do you guys think I have a chance of getting it replaced? I'm going to the Apple store tomorrow where I have my Genius Bar appointment.

As somebody who returned 3 handsets for serious issues, I'd say try to live with it, as you could get one with a much worse problem.

I returned the handsets for the following reasons:

No. 1 had more than 10 stuck pixels dotted around the screen...some right next to each other.

No. 2 had 5 stuck pixels and dust all over the inside of the screen

No. 3 was very poorly built. The screen wasn't seated at the top of the handset, the sides of the handset where the plastic meets the chrome had sharp edges, the screen was rotated slightly clockwise in the case, and the charger plug didn't fit properly in the socket.

Thanks for the input.

Unless you look at it at a certain angle in the light you don't notice it at all, and my fear is I may end up with one that has a couple of dead pixels or something worse like you mentioned. I think I'm just going to go ahead and live with it.

I don't think you should have to live with it. You paid a large sum of your hard earned money for a product that Apple advertises is a glamour product. It shouldn't have blemishes. Return it until you are satisfied!

Put a case on it, and forget we had this conversation. :)

If i pay 200+ for something and theres a defect, i would take it back and ask for a new one! Just because somebody else had something more serious wrong it's still not ok. I'd take it back and get what you payed for!
