Finally made my mind up and settled for the new iPad Air 64GB in Space Grey plus an Apple Pencil 2nd Gen. Was impressed with the performance v the Pro in the numerous videos I have watched. Can't stretch for an official Apple keyboard so can anyone recommend a reasonable budget keyboard/case that will get me by until I can afford an official Apple one.

Your best bet is the logitech folio touch

It is logitech version of the apple magic keyboard. Has keyboard and trackpad which connects via smart connector, and all folds into a case.
That looks great, but £140 in the UK and still a bit on the pricey side. Have seen this on Amazon. Wondering if anyone has tried something similar?

Im from the UK as well and the IVSO keyboard case looks pretty good for the price, but it does not clarify if its bluetooth which i suspect it is. Just bare in mind you have to charge it separately and connect via bluetooth each time, where as the apple and logitech keyboard cases use the smart connector, so connects straight away and is powered by the ipad so does not need charging.

Yes, I was thinking it would be bluetooth for that price. I have used budget bluetooth keyboards with my iPad mini and found them to be okay. Have also looked at the Logitech Slim Folio Pro, but it looks like it wouldn't be any good for the Air as the touch ID button would be covered by the case.
