buffalo hard disks... any good?

hi, i live in japan and i`m looking to buy a 250-300gb external hard disk.

i heard lacie were the best, but i see buffalo in most of the shops i go to, and the price isn`t so bad, but are they any good?

price is no problem, but i don`t want to pay ridiculous amounts. i want to get the most reliable ext hd i can find, and i don`t want to build my own.
