So a couple of days ago Consumer Reports talked about the new MacBook and a bug in Safari though I haven't seen details about what the bug is other than something about a button.
Anyway in my dev travels I may have inadvertently found it. If you turn on disable cache, and a website your visiting (I guess a bit) doesn't have the Apple touch icons (the ones you see in your Safari new screen or when you save a web page to your home screen on iOS) it requests them every ~ 7 seconds with no user interaction, there are ~ 4 images.
Smashed both safari and my VM I was deving on (which is how I found it).
Thought others might be interested if it hasn't been reported elsewhere.
