I dunno, i have a 15 inch 2.16ghz macbook pro, 120gb hitachi HD, and 2 gigs ram, bought in november last year (2006), and the identifier is macbook pro 2,2, is this a typo for 2.2ghz? i dont think im reading this correctly:

very confused...

Not a typo. It's a model IDENTIFIER which has nothing to do with the processor speed. Note the fourth line shows your processor speed.

For example
17" MacBook Pro Santa Rosa 2.4ghz is
MacBookPro3,1
