Recently picked up the second gen AirPods Pro, usually paired with a 14 Pro running the current public release. There‘s a weird software issue, and I don’t know of it’s a bug or just how Apple intended:
If you select your AirPods in Settings while they‘re active, there’s a section labeled ‘Press And Hold AirPods’ for both the left and right pod where you can choose ‘Noise Control’ or ‘Siri’ as the action. If you choose the former you can then select 2-3 of the following modes: Noise Cancellation, Transparency, Off. (Since it’s a toggle setting, you need to choose more than one.)
Here’s the weird (IMO) thing: The options you choose for the one pod override however the other was set. When you check the other pod it will have the settings you just chose for the other, and round and round we go. The end result is that both pods will have the same options and can’t be set individually. That seems weird, since each pod has their own options menu. Are yours like this as well?
