You know how you can install something like a PHPBB bulletin board with pretty much a single click using a script? I'm wondering if there's some sort of free package for bug tracking that I can easily install one my web site (preferably one with a Fantastico script). I already have a MySQL database installed and my web server, in addition to PHP, also supports Python and Ruby on Rails.

Of all the packages the most commonly used one is at http://www.bugzilla.org/

It is used to track bugs in Mozilla that are reported from thousands of users and hundreds of other projects. also us bugzilla. One large advantage is thatmany users wil have experiance with this as will mist developers

Take a lok here at the list of projects that use bugzilla. You would be in good company http://www.bugzilla.org/installation-list/
