I have noticed with my new C2D MBP that the mouse pointer doesn't always react as it should.

When the pointer switches to text cursor in a text field and then when you navigate away from the text field.... it should immediately switch back to pointer. Thats not with my brand new mac book pro.

The problem is minor, I admit, but it doesnt go unnoticed. It is intermittent and keeps the text cursor in place when it should be a pointer. It takes a few clicks in a blank area on the desktop to reste it back to pointer.

It happens within mac osx and third party software window panes.

This is my first experienec with mac osx. Has anyone else notice this?

It's been happening to me with Mac OS X since the public beta. The pointer acceleration is another unusual aspect of how things work. However, I've seen the same thing in various versions of Windows, too. I suspect that it has a bit to do with a busy system, as well as some poor programming, although the pointer acceleration is that way by design, apparently.
