Hello,

I noticed both operating systems are buggy, and these are some of the issues I have noticed and so have Apple Senior Applecare Techs.

1) 10.7 (Lion) only recognizes 384mb of video memory on the HD 4000, when it really has over 500mb.

2) 10.8 (Mountain Lion) has a sleep/wake issue in which if the MacBook Pro is lid open, then told to go to sleep, it will go to sleep. (as it should). Next, close the lid and after a second the MacBook Pro will wake up, then go back to sleep. This is a CONFIRMED software bug, not a hardware issue.

What bugs have you noticed?

Too many to list - or - just plain annoying

Have always had a Mac since the little guys on my desk at Tandem. Then purchased a Mac II ci for home. Imagine all that processing power! Since I was programmer writing banking system like SWIFT and Interlink, these little toys were cute, but WAY better than the thieves in Redmond who couldn't quite grasp how to steal the full intellectual property, and therefore Blue Screen of Death, numerous invoices sent to Bill Gates for my time debugging his crap.

Now Apple releases a stellar implementation of Mac OSX: Snow Leopard. Not sure what happened, but it is the XP of Mac OS. Lion was Vista, Mtn Lion was 7, and I'm not going to windoze 8 or any further with The Apple Toy company. Notice they took the word "Computer" out of the name. That's because we've written all the important software, now all kids do is tweet and update their butt-book page. Ah, to be young again.

Ya know, we did see all the great bands live when they could hit their notes. Oops, sorry u$oft, the other notes.

Like the man says, "Cool costs me money!"

Back to try plumbing school. Same same.

There are many bugs in Mountain Lion. And in Lion.

And ... wait for it ... there were many bugs in Our Sainted Lady of Snow Leopard. And still are.
The updates to SL fixed many of the bugs, though some introduced new ones. Anyone remember the notorious 10.6.7 Font crisis?

I accept that there will always be bugs in software. Writing code is a tricky and complicated business. What I can't accept is the shorter release cycle now leaving bugs permanently, deliberately unfixed.

Bugs I reported to Apple in Lion have been marked as fixed in Mountain Lion, but left unfixed in Lion. Some bugs are going to be fixed in 10.9, but left unfixed in 10.8.

Given that older hardware is going to be cut-off with each new release, that means buying new hardware to get bug fixes. And that is unacceptable in my view.
