There are a tonne of bugs and UI inconsistencies. Reported many times, latest is bizarre:

In Settings ~> Your Name ~> Sign-in & Security, the AppleID is missing in the ways to sign in section at the top.

Anyone else seeing it? How can this ship?

Not on mine. Have you tried a restart?

Seems fine for me. Chances are these are bugs only you or a small group of people are experiencing. What other bugs do you have?

Weird, I see it on 2 devices.

A 14 Pro and 15 Pro Max.

And on my Wife’s 13.

Just lots of UI bugs, different shades of red used for “negative” actions, sloppy UI consistency.

I think I understand your problem. I believe that field just indicates an email address that you can be contacted at. And it will be identified as your AppleID if it is the same as your AppleID. Select the Edit button and enter your email address. Report back.

Hey thanks, unforch not, it was showing my email in 17.0.3, some strange UI bug I guess.

Just upgraded another device to 17.1 and it just disappeared on that device.

Just found out the problem, there is a UI bug on iOS when one has text size set small.

In Display & Brightness I have -> Text Size -> smallest setting.

Then the email addy doesn't show, you need to have it set to normal or large.

so. many. damn. bugs!!! i hate 2023 apple! have deep regret getting the 15 pro max and jumping to ios 17, ugh!

Yeah the bugs are out if control this year. The Photos app has been giving me particular problems.

Me too! Bugs!

Do you kind readers know how I can fix my problem?

I'm having permissions issues. This week I've been trying to move from my old device (running iOS 14.8) to a new to me--previously used--iPhone 14 Pro. When I first powered on the 14 Pro it was running iOS 16.6 and I completed device-to-device transfer and every thing good. Then I ran the update so that the device has iOS 17.1 -- and now none of my third-party apps works. It's a permissions / 'full access' issue. Photos, Calendar, Reminders -- all those data unusable by third-party apps. Even the first-party calendar app doesn't see my calendars / events!

I've tried restarting the device. I've tried repeating the device-to-device onboarding. I've tried doing 'restore from iCloud' onboarding. At the moment I'm in the process of doing device-to-device onboarding, this time with iOS 17.0.2. I also tried to activate the device without doing any transfer (only logging in with my Apple ID) -- and this is the only way that I've gotten third-party apps to ask for access / permissions.

Please do help?
