Phone app crashing and keyboard slugghish. The trigger seems to be as easy as a reboot, it was present on Beta 1, and showed on Beta 2 after an icloud backup restore. It doesn't seems like a commong bug but it's probably the worst, until I don't reboot everything is working perfectly. Does anyone in the world has encountered this issue? On beta 2 after the reboot the problem seemed to be limited to the Phone app and doesn't involves the keyboard anymore. [iphone 7 plus]

On my 7 plus the phone app keeps crashing too. Sent in a bug report and no answer yet.

Was hoping the update 1 for the 2nd beta would fix this, but it is not available for the 7 plus.

If anybody has a fix or a work around....

For now on (and it's not obviously a fix) i'm not rebooting my phone and everything is working fine (I've restored fresh to beta2) (i'm not downgrading since I've also my apple watch on OS4)
I'm close to try to reboot and eventually switch to the newly released Public Beta
If you have more to suggest or you've tried something else let me know
"Glad" i'm not alone on this one - i haven't found anything else like that on reddit or google

Downloaded the public beta to my spare iPhone 7 and the same as the 7+ with the phone app crashing.

Must be a common setting somewhere in my phone as the spare phone and 7+ where both set up from the same original backup chain

Next option is to reset the spare phone to factory setting and check that avenue

So the bug is still present in the Public Beta as well? I think it's more related with iCloud syncing because the bug is also present starting from a new device without backup restored, on my iPad mini the bug is (obviously) not present since I haven't the phone app on that - rebooting the device should trigger some icloud sync process that is causing the problem (i'm guessing) - if you have a spare phone to try, you can try to disable icloud and then reboot to see if the problem is still there - thanks

Did a reset of all settings and this has cured the crashing on the public beta phone.

Will try disabling iCloud on the beta version 2 and see how that works :)

Update
Turned off iCloud, let iCloud take the setting off and rebooted the phone. Phone app worked:).

Turn iCloud back on, phone app worked

Rebooted phone and phone app still works, so you are right, something in the iCloud.....

Thanks :) So it should be as simply as disabling icloud and reenabling it :)
Glad we are close to solve this! It was a very annoying bug

[Exactly, where did you turned off icloud? just some settings or every single voice in the icloud menu (photos, contacts, calendars, reminders, safari...)]
