EDIT - Explanation from my later post:
ITT: I look like a jackass.

I hadn't actually tried Tethering since I've been in the basement of a library for the last six hours where I got no service, but the menu option was there and I could turn it on.

So back at home I did, paired it with my computer, and when I connect to the Bluetooth network it popped up a little connection error and on my iPhone it canceled out of the Tethering screen and now it's not an option in the menu anymore.

Point being: Oops. Sorry to waste your time.

Original post:

I can't be the only one, but a quick search shows otherwise.

I'm on 3.1 jailbroken, and tethering is working perfectly fine. I turn it and, and sure enough, it works.

I'm using the AT&T 5.0 carrier file, not the official one. Aside from that, I haven't the slightest clue what I did different than anyone else.

Is this "just working" for anyone else?

My MMS works fine, VVM... I really have no idea. I have a MediaNet plan and have my voicemail forward to YouMail.

It's the carrier file from here:

Only annoyance is every time I plug it into iTunes it pops up and asks me to update the carrier file.
