Bulletin Board Software for Website...

I want to add a very powerful (feature rich) bulletin board on my web site (like the one here on MacRumors). Does anyone have any recommendations.

I am seriously considering VBulletin, PHPBB or IBP (Invision).

Is there a good web site that has reviews or ratings on this type of software?

vBulletin and IPB are far superior to phpBB. Both have demos so have a play around with both of them to see which you personally like best. While I prefer vBulletin from a general user perspective (never used the admin control panel myself), I like the direction Invision Power is going in with Converge integrating member databases between scripts.

PunBB is great, open source, more lightweight and secure than many alternatives.

bulletin boards?!?
man, i just hopped in the way back machine.
used to visit this bulletin board back in 1992 called DarkKrad.
they had this turned based world domination game where you had 1 turn a day.
very addicting.
