One word for Bundlebox 'brillant'.

I ordered my iPad directly with Apple for delivery to Bundlebox. It arrived on the 3rd and I received it in the UK on the 7th (would have been quicker but for the weekend). They are a very professional company and very responsive to questions. I have no hesitastion in recommending them. They are not the cheapest but they are the best forward shippers.

Did you use the Buy For Me service or just as a forwarder? Trying to find out how some people are getting their shipping for £10 and 16gb models for around £400. Any ideas?

I bought from Apple directly and then used Bundlebox to deliver to the UK. You can get the shipping costs (costs will include VAT but duty is no charge) on the Bundlebox site.

Could I ask how much you got yours for? Trying to figure out how to get it as cheaply as possible - £400 for a 16gb doesn't seem to bad as I'm sure it will be around that at launch in the UK.

The US Apple store says that a signature is required for delivery – does anybody know if this is strictly true or will bundlebox sign for it? Everybody seems to be going with Bundlebox without many issues, but I'm slightly wary of shelling out £500 only to have the parcel floating around in a ring of paperwork 3000 miles from me...

Bundlebox will sign for an receive your iPad delivery. They are very very good and higly professional. I would use them a again without any worrys.

Thanks... I finally found a pair and ordered a 32gb 3g to my Bundlebox address.

All that remains now is to cross fingers and hope that the order doesn't get cancelled. I used a UK debit card with a random NY postcode, I'd guess that's how you guys did it? They've already either reserved or taken the funds from my account, still waiting on the confirmation email though... Any comforting "exactly the same for me until an iPad magically and revolutionarily appeared on my desk" stories to share?

Don't bother, if you read other thread, 3 people did just this and all got cancelled, I was the last one and just minutes ago I got

Thank you for your recent Apple order.

To ensure that all customers are given equal opportunity to acquire this
product we have limited the amount available per customer. Therefore,
this order has been cancelled.

I also was only one who got a Confirmation email too I think.

Only way left now is wait till 21st and get Bundle box to buy it for you personally.

+1... just got my order cancelled too. I suppose I'll have to keep an eye out for some especially kind-hearted Americans and start begging for favours...

Is there an extra cost for having bundlebox buying it for you, I am a bit confused with the cancellation issues...

Before I ordered directly with Apple I set my Apple account up with my Bundlebox US address and then used this for the order. I had no problems with this approach, maybe things have changed now.

I can only speak from my own experience, but all the anti-American hostility in the UK thread after the delay was announced turned me off the idea of offering to help some people out (I live 5 min from an Apple store and a Best Buy). Which ironically was why I had been visiting the thread in the first place. I don't know if it continued or if I just picked the wrong day to click or what.

/.../ all the anti-American hostility in the UK thread after the delay was announced /.../

While nasty, agreed, I don't think it's genuine hostility, but simply misdirected frustration and disappointment. Such is life... capitalism isn't always pretty or convenient for everyone involved, but it's working out pretty ok so far. Plus, I'm sure the exact opposite will happen once BP announce their £1000 hovercars (should be any day now)

Recommend getting them to order for me or better me order it directly? Any extra costs or anything?

Also, what is the total cost to get a 16GB Wifi sent over? (In GBP(£) of course.)

I think this bundle box looks great for overseas buyers but i don't understand why you would out a random postal code in when asked which would automatically trigger a cancellation. Why would you not just have the bill to address your actual bill to address overseas presumably, and the ship to the bundle box address.

One would think unless I am missing something that this would not trigger a cancellation and the system would be able to confirm the credit card because no fictions information was used.....
