How can i do this with Toast (or another prog) ?

This is one of the main this my mac cant do. I Have all my backups in .iso format, aswell as several experimental linux distros in this format, which need to be burnt to cd/dvd/dl

I would be very surprised if Toast couldn't do it, but I don't have Toast, so maybe someone else can tell you how.

Disk Utility. Drag the image into the lower left hand side, then choose the image, and select to burn it.
The easiest way to do this is to put in a blank disk, choose to open it with disk utility instead of Finder or iTunes (its the choose other program).

you should just be able to drag, drop, burn in toast since toast should auto detect the image format and go to the right screen. I have burned iso files from toast for a while now. I believe that apples built in burner should do the same thing with dragging an image into disk utility, but always worried about size issues so I don't use that and use toast. Last not sure about bootablity for those distros from burning from a mac.

Use Copy in Toast, and select image file from the drawer:

I tried that, But toast doesnt like burning disk which have already been burnt (RW disks (for me at least)). The disk wias burnt in Suse 9.3.

However, Disk Utility Burnt it without probems

I think if you use CD-RW you have to erase them first with disk utility after that you can burn with Toast.

Burning right from disk utility saves you a time consuming step I guess.
