Burn-in fade

Hello, I just bought an iPhone X second hand and have noticed that when I open the camera for a few seconds then close it, the camera button remains on the home screen in a sort of ghost effect and slowly fades away. It’s like it’s temporarily burned in. It also occurs with bright apps lingering when I open the (dark) setting menu. The icon shape lingers for a few seconds and then fades away. I’m not sure what is happening and if there is anything I can do?
