So I’ve purchased a 2nd hand X today and got rid of my 8 Plus

I’ve got a few question I’m hoping those that have had an X since release could advise on.
I’m curious as to how likely you are to get burn in with an OLED display?
How do you stop this?
Does this change how you use the phone such as brightness level?
Do you ever use full brightness? If so how long for? (I only ever use full brightness when watching videos such as sports and films)

I mean unless your going to be on the same screen for MANY hours, don't expect burn in to occur. I usually just use mine at a bit bellow 50% brightness level. You may realize iPhone X demos on display in stores may have burn in, but keep in mind those phone sit turned on for serval hours a day. With personal use, you should not be worried.
This article may help: http://bgr.com/2018/01/02/iphone-x-vs-galaxy-note-8-oled-burn-in-screen-comparison/

You'd have to leave the same image on your screen for days before any burn-in. You MAY get some image retention but that will quickly fade with normal usage. In short, don't worry about it and enjoy your X.

I’ve got image retention already, you can only see it if you display a pure grey image though.

It is annoying but you have to live with it as everything is oled now.
