I'm a total iTunes newbie - mods, if this isn't the right forum, please move this thread.

I am having a heck of a time burning CDs from iTunes that actually will play on a regular stereo CD player (yes, I'm old fashioned). I want to listen to them in my car.

I copy the files to a playlist, and put in a CD-RW in the drive on my iMac (white/17-inch) - click the "burn CD" button, and it burns the CD. I did click "audio CD". It will play in iTunes, but when I put it in my CD player in the other room, nada. I think it doesnt' recognize it as a CD.

It also is not recognized by the CD player in my car.

FWIW, I'm copying Pimsleur language CDs.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I've had several CD players that couldn't read from burned CD-RW's, but CD-R's worked fine. If "Audio CD" is definitely selected in the burn options then I can't think of anything other than trying with a quality CD-R.

Jolly Jimmy, thanks for the tip.
I don't have any CD-R right now, will definitely try that out later on.
