I used the app Burn to burn a DVD from a single .mp4 file (which Burn converted to .mpg) in the "video" section using a DVD-Video format. I did change the setting to NTSC for America and am burning onto a DVD-R. When finished, the DVD plays on my Mac and on a DVD/VHS combo machine I have, but it does not play on my Magnavox MWD200F DVD player. It accepts the disc but shows a "Playback feature may not be available on this disc" error on the screen.

I have gotten other videos burned in a different way on the same DVD-R discs to work in the Magnavox player so I know it isn't the type of disc. I am trying to burn a 1.5 hour video onto a 4.7 GB disc (2 hour), so overwriting isn't the problem either.

Any thoughts on why this is happening or how to burn a disc that will play in the Magnavox DVD player would be greatly appreciated.

I know the DVD needs to be in a different format for the player to read it, but I'm not sure what other format I should be using

Are you commenting on something that you found in my link? You don't need to worry about the format, Burn takes care of it by converting to mpeg2.
