I have almost 5gb worth of AVI files that I want to burn on a DVD to be able to watch on my TV.....do I have to convert the files to MPEG? I found a program called iVCD but it says it takes hours to convert the files to MPEG then it has to burn them which is an overnight process....how can I be sure that it will play on my DVD player?

If you can watch your AVI files via QuickTime, iDVD should be able to handle them and make the required conversions transparently.

thanks I just realized that....each AVI file is about 350mb, how many do you think will fit on one DVD-R? And also do you know if theres a way that I can use iDVD to burn it without a theme? Those drop zones that they want in every them are annoying
