I have burned a few dvds - The process I read was
1) mac the ripper
2) dvd2one
3) toast

the toast part doesn't allow my dvd player to work with the dvd so I burn using finder. That's worked ok.
I'm running into "lost connection with driver" while burning more and more recently. Repair permissions helps sometimes.
Is there anything else I should be doing?

Are you burning as DVD-ROM (UDF) format?

Make sure you have both the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders within the disc. Make sure also to name the disc with no spaces, so something like HOT_DONKEY_PORN works, but Hot Donkey Porn might not work.
