hello,
I have an external DVD burner that I'm using with my Mac. I used it under Panther with no problem. But since I've intstalled Tiger, I have a problem.
When I insert a blank DVD into the drive, it would normally show up as "untitled" on the desktop. Under Tiger, it does not do this. It does not show up.
HOWEVER, I know that the computer knows it is there because Toast will launch automatically like it's supposed to and I CAN burn to the disc.
And then when I put the freshly burned disc back into the drive, it will show up as "My Disc" like it's supposed to.
I have Finder configured to show CDs DVDs under preferences and the system profiler recognizes the external drive and says it is burn supportable.
Why is the computer recognizing and even correctly burning to the disc through Toast but not showing up as a blank disc on the desktop like it did under Panther?
Thanks.
