I learned from another thread (from 2006) that you can't burn bought iTunes movies to blank DVDs (this is correct, right?). However, can I burn them to DVDs and then put them back into my computer to have on iTunes? Basically, I have 20 GB of iTunes movies and I need to store them somewhere (not sure if I want to use a flash drive). Can I just buy like 9 blank DVDs (I have 9 movies) and store them? What's the consensus?

Thanks.

nevermind I don't even have a DVD burner...damnit you old MacBook!

Well, you could buy a portable hard drive and back up you movies that way.

But to answer your original question (in case this question comes up for some other user), you can burn iTunes movies onto a DVD, but only as a data disc. It will not play on a standard DVD player.
