Burning Mp3's onto a DVD-R

What is the steps that I need to do using Roxio Toast?
I tried a few times and ending up chucking a few discs thinking I finally had the setting. I tried looking in the instructions but this is something that isn't listed. My friend told me I needed to switch it to Data
If that's true where do I go to next?

How far off am I? I can't be that off

iTunes burns DVD's.

There is probably a setting for "Audio" in Toast that you should be using. I can't check right now but I know of Data and Video as I have used both in the past.

So let me do a rundown of what the settings should be when I burn

Click to Data
Click on DVD ROM (UDF)
And then Burn?

Here's the problem. My DVD player the only one I believe could work is the DVD player on my IMAC. But when I try to run it then it says "Supported Disc not Available" I read on Wiki that OS X has a problem playing some UDF DVD Rom's. Maybe I am doing something wrong still.


So, if you could tell me what I did wrong and how I should remedy this.
I may have to buy a DVD player that supports UDF. I still don't understand why the DVD player on my IMAC won't play it. It says "Supported Disc not available" Or maybe I can get a UDF DVD player interface program to run on the mac.

You don't even have to use Toast in the first place, thereby eliminating a whole load of hassles if you just use iTunes...

As for the Toast issue... I'm at work, so I can't look on my mac and see what the settings are. You'll have to wait till I am home (if I remember by then of course).

Thanks for your reply. So you are saying if I use ITUNES I can burn any mp3's onto DVD without even changing a setting and it will know it's a mp3 dvd format? I didn't get these mp3's from Itunes. Does that matter? Just Press Burn? That would be cool if that's it.

Sorry for the pestering questions if they are. Just a novice anxious Mac'er
