I have the MBP, and I'm trying to burn a music CD. I have my MP3's on my computer, and I have dragged and burned them onto an empty CD. They will play if the CD is inserted into a PC or back into my MBP but my problem is that my CD player both in my vehicle and my portable CD player are giving me errors. They will not play anything burned by my MBP. Is there a different format or something I should be doing instead to make them work? Is there something wrong with my burner? Could it be the CD's I'm using? Although they worked fine with my powerbook. Any help or suggestions would be great.

If your car/home cd players do not support mp3 discs, then you definitely need to use itunes (or some other app) to burn them as an audio disc.

Yes, the problem would seem to be that your CD desks are not MP3-compatible.

You need to burn audio CDs, not MP3 data CDs.

As MadJew said, the easiest way is to import your tracks into iTunes, set your Burning preferences to Audio CD, and burn'em from iTunes.

Thanks guys, that hopefully worked. I have no idea what I was doing, but I think I was burning the disk as a data as opposed to an audio. I just did it through itunes and I'm pretty sure it'll work now, the icons in the CD look different too. I really appreciate your help!
