Burst mode only available through the volume button?

Probably a dumb question but I remember being able to hold down the shutter button to activate burst mode or maybe slide down to take a quick video.

Has burst mode been relegated to the volume button only?

Seems like it can depend on the device -- older devices like iPhone 7 for example still support burst mode via the on screen shutter button (and don't have support for quick video).

Tap shutter button and slide it to the left.
