Like the title says. I'm on 15.2 and when I click on a graphical button on a Safari page, nothing happens. I turned off content blockers and private relay and still...nothing.

I found an Apple support page that recommended removing website data through Safari Settings -> Privacy. Did that. Still nothing.

What the heck is going on here and why would such a basic functionality break? Has anyone else experienced this and -- more importantly -- does anyone have a solution?

When I say "graphical buttons," I mean like the one in this screenshot that reads "Try Stable Assistant."

If I go to that Stable Assistant site, and try that link, (Start your free trial) nothing happens for me. That page appears to be a bad build, or maybe an M-series Mac is required, instead of my intel Mac.
Do the same type of active links/buttons work on other sites, such as this site (Macrumors) that you are presently using?

Interestingly the link is functional on my work computer using Firefox, assuming we're on the same page (https://beta.dreamstudio.ai/generate, the first Google hit for "try stable assistant chatbot").

I don't have Safari handy at present.
Oh, yeah, it absolutely works in Firefox, which is why I assume it's something wrong with Safari. But it's such a WEIRD thing to be wrong!

ETA: And that was just an example. I've clicked on several similar buttons (on my insurance company's site, for example), where it just plain doesn't work.

The button works for me in Sonoma 14.7.2 Safari 18.2 with content blocker and in Sequoia 15.2 Safari 18.2 without content blocker.
More, if you close that frame, you are presented with an agree to Terms of service frame and, if you agree, goes directly to the interface.

If you load the page fresh and keep an eye on your address bar, does any new icon appear there when you click on that button? (right side of the bar, I think)

It's been ages but I seem to recall this happening to me and later realizing Safari was blocking the action and the only indication was a small icon the address bar which I needed to click to allow it.

Nope, no new icon. And I tried on another page with a similar button and no new icon there, either.

Close Safari and delete its cache ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Safari/Data/Library/Caches
There is no com.apple.Safari in that directory for me. Just these:

com.apple.Safari.BrowserDataImportingService
com.apple.Safari.CredentialExtractionHelper
com.apple.Safari.SafariLinkExtension
com.apple.Safari.SafariWidgetExtension

BTW, I appreciate your time and attention!
