Hi all,

Since iOS 9, there have been several buttons in my podcast app that have disappeared. There are a few threads around the internet about this, and I'm aware that you can tap in the right spots and the actions still happen anyway. Needless to say, that's not the point.

I've not seen yet any solution as to this problem. Buttons missing include
Skip Forward 15 Sec
Skip Back 15 Sec
Sleep
Track Forward
Track Back

Has anyone conclusively solved this problem?

For what it's worth, I fixed the issue briefly. I hit "Reset All Settings" which seemed to do the trick. But when I quit the app and started it again, those buttons disappeared again!

RESOLVED! (For me at least)
After playing around with some settings and thinking about what settings I had changed since the "Reset All Settings", I came across the accessibility section. Sometimes when I'm driving I like to use the "Speak Screen" option to read whatever is on the screen. For some reason, the podcast app doesn't like that. I turned that off, restarted the podcast app, and voila, all those missing buttons have returned!
For the record, Speak Selection doesn't seem to affect the podcast app.

I know we all like to make use of the bloat ware that Apple provides but I'd highly recommend moving to a different podcast app. Any other would work. I do prefer Overcast, which is free but does have a one time IAP of $5 to unlock premium features (which I recommend, especially if you like listening to podcasts in 2x) but even if you don't go with that one, there are others worth a shot.
