This waiting for the next new product announcement apparently is a neverending cycle. ...got..to..break...out!!

Ok. I've decided to try to go for a 15" PB now and get up to speed on the Mac(left for Windows world years ago to be compatible with a new job at the time :( ) Hope to get into a good workflow and then when I see a few months of stability and software compatibility go by then maybe sell and buy a new Intel WhateverBook... (I do print & sign design)

I have one Windows based program that will never be available on Mac so I'll give VPC a try- it's a very basic database/research program; almost no graphics and just simple search functions.

Any thoughts on how the current 15"PB will hold it's value once the new Intel's are out? I know it's speculation, but at least a few of you must have done a similair thing in the past?

I guarantee they'll hold there value. Macs are known for good value ;)

Sounds like a good plan to me!

>>Fwiw to you, I own a 17" revD PB. I expect its value to absolutely TANK after the MacTel iBooks and PBs come out. **Usually**, Apple products hold their value quite well. This switch to x86 is a huge jump in performance...PPC is a dead end platform, etc...these times aren't "usual".
