If your app was at all useful, I'd buy it. Provide a link for me to provide my 25¢ donation though.

Hi guys!

My company, More Blu Sky has become an official sponsor of the 2009 Boobie-thon. You can follow them on twitter

Our new apps couldn't have been any more timely.
They are 25¢ Peep Show - Hot Girls
and 25¢ Peep Show - Sexy Guys

What we are doing is donating 25¢ for each app sold, of those listed above, through the 7th of October.

I urge you all to join in and let everyone know that the iPhone/iPod Touch community cares...and that we want to Kill The Cancer! Thank you, to everyone in advance!

We are an official sponsor as listed on the web site in the sponsors section
So do something trashy and help kill cancer?
It's fight cancer and I'll donate my $ straight to the cause, not using some trashy app that you probably created using google images.

First off...it wasn't created using google images...why don't you at least look at the thing before commenting?

Second off...there was a lot of time put into making it better then anything that is currently out there...we are a skilled development house with contracted clients. There is Dynamic lighting and shadows....realistic neon light and sound effects. You can even drop a quarter on the floor and it sounds like the quarter was actually drooped on the floor.

Third...there is a link to their web site in that post...please click it and leave a donation if you don't want to pick up the app.

Quit while you're ahead.

Why can’t I donate directly to the Boobie-Thon?
When the Boobie-Thon first began, we did accept donations directly and in turn, donated what we raised to Komen. But in 2004 we changed the Boobie-Thon to a pledge-drive. Now you donate directly to Komen or the Bloggers Helping Bloggers charity and then fill out the form on the donate page to let us know your donation amount. We will then update the site with your donation amount and add it to the total raised.

Oh I looked, don't worry.

Their saying is Kill The Cancer btw...hence the subject line.
I swear...you can't do anything right by some people.

We created both apps to stay neutral...provided them both for donation...of which proceeds are to a legitimate fundraiser.

I mean...if you don't like it...sorry for trying to help. The apps would be out there any which way...just selling away...making us money.

We figured why not put them to some good use...at least we aren't like every other developer with a similar app...just sitting on a pile of money and keeping it all to ourselves.

Do you really think that these things don't sell on their own? Especially if someone put some time making them better quality.

Please...donate. That is the whole point of this. For people who don't want to donate..they can buy the app and we will donate for them.

I also looked

havering people close to me that have died from cancer as well as breast cancer I am insulted. I prefer to donate too say the Cancer Foundation or Cancer Awareness, or Brest Cancer support groups. I will where one of those pink ribbons but your App is a excuse to by trash and say it's for a good cause if I want trash I will by trash. so how apps would you have to sell to save the world from Cancer. The fact Apple approved this and denies other good apps blows me away!

Alight guys...the post is coming down...doesn't matter...we are still doing what we set out to do.

I am really dumbfounded that anyone would frown upon someone else trying to do something good.

Anyway...donate www.boobiethon.com

Feel free to post here how much donated!

"Just wanted 2 say thanks 4 doing this! I like boobies! And I have a good friend who has breast cancer. Every little bit helps. Even .25"

This is why I decided to go ahead with this. The person who this quote is from is the person who asked me to become a sponsor. It was never my idea. Simply the idea of someone who regularly passes out promo codes for us and he asked for this favor.

I didn't and don't want to let him down or the planners of the fund drive. If the return from the sales isn't enough...I will put up whatever I can spare personally.

My father is bed ridden from cancer...after 7 years of fighting it...it's starting to take him. His father died of cancer. I'm most likely going to die of cancer in about 35-40 years.

So seriously...don't buy the apps if it's insulting to you. But please do see what you can spare and donate it.

Brest Cancer, Colon Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer. Cancer in general. We need to find a cure and every four quarters you can spare will make a difference.

I'm sorry your idea seemed to spark some "feelings' in here but maybe they are not familiar with the boobie-thon and how it works. Its been going on for years helping raise money for the cause. The main point is...if you want to contribute by either getting the app., donating or submitting pics for the boobie-thon site or just giving money to the Foundation itself, Its all the same cause and all equally important.

The fact is some people probably would not donate anything if these give something - get something ideas did not exists. So if you can get more money from people towards a BIG cause.. i don't see any harm in people donating some money to look at boobie pics. big whoop!

That was exactly my thinking...get people who wouldn't normally donate to donate. I really couldn't believe the backlash here. You're probably right...they probably didn't have any knowledge of the Boobie-thon or how it works.

They made us official sponsors. They want our money. They saw the apps...they are fine with them. All this backlash has done nothing but take potential money away from the donation drive.

I personally have already donated $100 outside of this promotion. Have any of the nay sayers donated anything?

Maybe we should make an app: Donation Sniper. Then everyone can sit and wait for the minimum donation at Susan G. Komen to drop from $25 to .99 cents.

Maybe a different idea, Why not have an app with a pink ribbon icon that has different pink ribbon wallpapers or something people can save and use on their phones to show support.

I bought your app, and i already donate money every year.

Well, I bought the app. Might as well go to a good cause.

BTW, for those who suggested a donation-specific app, unfortunately, Apple does not allow that. You can't mention contests or donations in your app or iTunes description.

well guys...the goal of 10k has been reached and exceeded!

The fundraiser is officially over in about 7 minutes.

Thank you to everyone who participated either by picking up one of the apps or by donating directly.

next year I hope to have something less controversial and more useful to use as a vehicle for the donation.
