After some deliberation, I recently bought a Palm TX. I've hardly used it so far, but I did manage to get iSync configured to work with iCal, Address Book, etc (following the advice on Palm's site).

Here's what I'm trying to accomplish:

I am trying to input my college schedule into iCal in order to sync with my TX. But, I *must* find a way to also input the names of the lectures and the corresponding instructor. I tried to use the "location" field of iCal, but I noticed that these details weren't sync'ing after using iSync. I don't want to simply enter this additional info in the "main" field because I want to have a simple "agenda" title that says "Microbiology" and not "Microbiology- Bacteria and their use of DNA - John Doe."

Also, I want to separate "classes" from "personal" events in my iCal, but those tags are not transferring either.

Question>>>> Will MissingSync *really* fix these issues?

I ask because I searched through old posts and found a few disgruntled users of MissingSync, but I suspect they were trying to sync PocketPCs and not PalmOS.

Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help!!! :) :)

I use the missing sync for my sidekick 3 and it works awesome integrating the events with iCal and contacts with address book.

I have not used it for Palm, but I would assume it has the same functionality, especially if it is stated so on the website.

From the markspace site, it sounds like categories and colors will transfer correctly, but I'm not sure if the 'location' field will. Does the Palm calendar even have any 'extra' fields, like the location?

On my TX in weekly view, I can tap a time block and it brings a summary box that includes "location." Granted, it's a tiny field, so I'm not sure it would solve the situation when lectures have long names, but it's a start.

Alternately, I think I could enter all of the lecture titles as notes that are attached to the events. Not sure if that's realistic or not.

Right now I feel like the Palm system isn't comprehensive enough....
