Buy newer 1866 ram for classic mac pro

Hi i once saw a guy here who was using his ram from his new mac pro in his classic mac pro. Id also like to do this because i want to buy new ram for my classic mac pro that might also be usable in one of the newer windows work stations we have in the office. thank you. If Yes i will be buying 3 sticks of pc-14900 ram and i know it will only run at 1333 if indeed it does work.

I have 1866 RAM in my 4,1, because I had some available already when I got the Mac. It runs fine at the lower speed.
