Buy Now or is there a new model coming?

Hello,
Is it safe to but Apple TV now?

They just did a refresh this year, I thought. Unless I absolutely KNOW a new update is coming out, I don't play the waiting game, else I would end up never getting anything. Just to be able to say you did, wait until after next Tuesday's announcements and if there isn't a revision then, just go ahead and buy it and enjoy it.

according to wikipedia, the apple tv really only gets updated every 2 years or so. With the current model just a few months old you should be safe.

Yes, it's safe. It's not likely a new Apple TV will be released any time soon and even if it does, it's not as big of an investment as a MacBook, iPhone or iPad. The Apple TV is only around $100, so you won't be making too big of a sacrifice and if there is a new version released, you could probably sell your current one for a decent price.
