I'm wondering if I can buy a wifi model now to use and then return in when the 3G comes out. (And if I determine the wifi to be a fit, I may just simply keep it)

Apple has a 10% restock but many people say that I can just return it in 14 days. What's true? Any help, guys? Thnx.

There's a 10% fee if it's opened, written clearly on the receipt.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

Apple has a retocking fee on open boxes up to 14 days. After that you are SOL.

a question of ethics here?

There is nothing unethical about this. The only problem is that the timing won't work out for the OP unless he waits until we know the exact date the 3G models are coming out and backs off that 14 days to buy the wifi only model.
