If this has already been discussed, I apologize. I didn't find it with a forum search.
The Buyers Guide used to be one of the most helpful and interesting parts of this site. But now it feels so inaccurate and unhelpful. IMO Its best feature was tracking when updates occur and giving us an average update cycle so we could accurately plan our purchases. Currently, it resets the update count every time there's a drop in price. This is not an update. Resetting the count because apple lowered a price is silly. The point is letting us know when to expect new hardware. If the guide wants to note when price drops occurred, I'm all for that. But please don't reset the count clock and mess up the average refresh count. For example, the Ipad Pro 12.9 inch has never been updated. They lowered the price last September, but all of the internal tech is identical. However, instead of telling us it hasn't updated in 514 days, it says updated 213 days ago.
Am I the only one who thinks it shouldn't work this way?
