Buying a Mac Pro

Hi everyone, I am awaiting the release of the Mac Pro like many of you are. I was just wondering will we have to wait until October for it to ship, or do you think Jobs will say they are shipping today( the 7th). I want to know because I have been waiting for this computer to buy for my new school computer, and really can't wait until October or November. Thanks.

No one knows for sure....obviously....but I think Apple will have them shipping on Monday. They have had enough time to get these bad boys ready. That's just my guess though.

Any answers other than that are pure speculation and not something you should base anything on.

My suggestion? You've waited this long.. just try and make it until Monday.

Yeah I was going to wait for Monday, but as one of the previous posters said the chips have been out for awhile. I really can't see any reason why they won't be shipping for awhile.

But the point is, that no one here knows for sure.
So all you'll get is guesses.

Yeah I knew I was going to get a guess. I was just worried because on Engadget they said some guy from Apple said they weren't going to ship until October or November, I very well know that can also be false.

Worried for no reason if they do ship immediately.
Happy and then crushed because someone who has no idea tells you they will ship immediately but actually won't ship until October.

yellow has the right idea: just wait. we don't know. nobody here knows anything about product release dates. if they don't ship on monday, will you wait? if they do, will you order one? so, it really doesn't matter what we tell you because it has no effect on whether you'll buy one or not. what does affect your decision is the actual announcement of when they'll ship, which won't come until next week.
