Okay, so I am purchasing the basic config $1,099 macbook in-store. It has the same specs as the 2.0 processor on the apple store for the same price. Anything wrong with this I will be playing world of warcraft on it but I run it on dial-up so framerate isn't an issue...

If you are waiting until after Christmas be on the lookout for refreshed machines (which are basically gifts that have been returned). Many Apple stores have a table of stuff like this at a small discount.

i play World of Warcraft on my Late 2006 2GHz 1Gb Ram macbook, and it runs fine, you should really think about getting Broadband, if you are able to afford a macbook, why not get broadband, DSL, ISDN.. whatever

That comment was not meant to sound offensive what so ever.

I'll chime in here as I completely understand the OP. Believe it or not, broadband isn't available everywhere... Where I am the only place it is available is in town. Since my fiance doesn't live in town he uses dial up on his macbook.

Depressing isn't it
