I finally return my CD MacBook Pro to the store yesterday and got a refund, the unit was just full of flaws, repair after repair so I just didn't want to deal with it anymore.

Now the C2D models are out, should I wait a while before picking one up? I see quite a few amount of people been having issues with the new models.

How long do you want to wait?

I went thru 3 CD MBP Duos in May that still had the same issues that MBPs had when they were introduced in February, so if you're going to wait, based on my experience, I'd say you'd want to wait longer than 3 months.

Or you can trust that AppleCare will take care of you and fix any issues that you may run into.

Quite a few? I've seen like 3 threads on it. And they don't take into account the thousands of people who have perfect MBP C2Ds.

Okay I admit it, I actually went through 3 Core Duo MBP's, not one. Sucks that Apple can't get things right when they set the prices so high.

Another thing is that Apple retail store makes it almost impossible to exchange flawed units within 14days, they always tried to convince you by saying "that's normal".
