Buying a MBP... How's Refurb?

Well first of all, this is my first post on the Mac forums!
I've been reading a lot recently, and found answers to most of my questions. I'm getting closer to buying my first Mac, making the switch from PC's.

I looked around couldnt find a nice topic for this... so, what does everyone think about getting a refubished machine? I'm pretty tight on cash, and I don't know what I should do. I'm mostly interested in the Pro for gaming and higher end things... I dont think the regular MacBook would satisfy me. Would refurb be a bad idea for my first mac?

Refurb all the way!!!

I got the refurbished 17in 2.33 and Love it. You can not even notice that its refurb just like new. I'd say go for it you wont be disappointed.

Oh, yeah It was my first mac also

Picked up the MBP in my sig last April. It runs just fine, no cosmetic issues whatsoever. Would buy a refurb again.
