Thread title sums it up .
I'm purchasing my 15" 2.16ghz MBP today, using my exalted Student Developer discount.
The two upgrades I've been considering:
-- Upgrading the HDD from 120gb to 160gb ($80 extra, PMR, barefeats benchmarks look good)
-- Upgrading the RAM from 1gb to 2gb ($140 extra).
However, I think I'm going to hold off on the RAM upgrade though. I can get it cheaper and tax-less from other places, and I'm thinking I should buy it later to save the big hit on my bank account.
Question though... I've had bad experiences with RAM overall. Kingston, Crucial, and other brands have all crashed my computers 2-3 years after purchase. Any advice on OWC or other third-party RAM buyers?
