I am in the US next month, and was wondering if I purchase an Apple TV will it work in the UK?

Yes it will work no problem. Mine was bought in the USA about 1 year ago.

You can either cut the US plug off and wire a UK 3 pin or find another cable. It is the standard 2 pin ones used by radios etc.

Definately will work.

I ordered one off Amazon UK and it turned out to be an import with a UK plug lead bundled. After being a bit p'd off, as I had only just come back from the US, I calmed down and it works a treat :)

Best £75 I have spent :D
 
Just wondering whether if there is any benefit in using the USA version in another country like Netflix and stuff, is there? I can not even see netflix in Austalia on mine ATV3.

That has to do with software, not hardware. Go to your settings and change your itunes store from Australia to US and Netflix will appear.
