so after the price cut today, i have no excuse not to own an iphone. i was planning on going to the apple store tomorrow, until my friend called and asked if i wanted his phone. (he had to get a blackberry for ms exchange.) instead of paying for it, i'm just going to trade him some design work.

question: will i have any trouble trying to activate the phone with my (soon to be) new at&t account?

ps: sorry if this is a redundant post, i can't find any threads on used iphones, esp with everyone quacking about the price cut.

Nope, load iTunes. Restore the phone, but don't let it do a Backup from a Sync. Just cancel that part out. Put in your Cingular/ATT sim, sync it, and it'll say not Activated and walk you through the activation process.

does this mean i have to buy a (new) sim card? i've had sprint for like ten years and know nothing about sims. except the ones in sim city.
