Hi forum,

I will relocate in the near future (couple of weeks) and currently I‘m working mostly with my MacBook Pro 13“ but I think I will put it in clamshell mode linked to an external display at the new location. So my question: is there an alternative keyboard to the Apple Keyboard or should I seat it out until Apple releases new keyboards? Honestly I‘m so between only to get the Apple mouse and still type everything on my MacBook or get both and latter a new iMac.

I think you'll find a lot of Logitech fans here. I like the MX Keys personally. They make a wide range of keyboards and mice. Highly regarded.

The bummer for any non-Apple keyboard is no more Touch ID (which I personally love). As silly as this might sound, I use the MX Keys for typing but also have an old Apple keyboard connected and tucked under the monitor so I can use the Touch ID.

I recommend Satechi who makes a great bluetooth mouse that is the same color as the MacBooks silver.
the mouse is USBc charged and my MBA works in camshelll mode without a keyboard.
the price was $30.00 US.

No it is not silly - login with Touch ID is so convenient and I also like my Touch Bar. I have an old USB Apple Keyboard from my parents but it is a white one and hard to clean. I will try out your suggestion in a local store how it feels to type on it.

Thank you and I have to find a shop to try it before I buy one.
