I've been using a CD based MP3 player for the past 4 years, it gives me 700 MB of MP3 storage, which is about 10 albums, but the world has changed a lot and now it's time for me to upgrade to a real pmp. My requirements, in approximate order of importance are:

- small size and weight
- great sound
- great battery life
- inexpensive ($200 absolute max)

would be nice:
- video player
- good looking

I have a huge music library, 250 GB, so I'd have to play the loaded music rotation game regardless of the storage size the device has. So I'm not sure if disk based or flash based is the way to go.

Apple offers a refurb 30 GB previous gen for $160, which pretty much perfectly nails everything I want in a pmp. But being that I don't buy things often and thus tend to hold onto them for a really long time, I'd like to get many opinions before making my move.

What are your thoughts?

p.s. I'm not even limiting this question to iPods, I want to get the best pmp for my life, and if that's not an iPod I don't mind.
