I'm most likely buying an 8GB iPhone either tomorrow or Saturday and want to use it on T-Mobile. I'm sure 1.1.14 is way too new to be on phones already in stores, but do you guys think it'll have 1.1.13 or an older firmware? If it's 1.1.13, should I even upgrade to 1.1.14 or keep it at 13 and unlock and everything by the instructions on Hackthatphone.com? I've been reading a lot about this over the past week or so, but all the talk of firmware, bootloaders, baseband, etc., are a tad confusing. Has anyone bought a phone just in the past few days and done what I wanna do?

1.1.4 can be unlocked/jailbroken. It doesn't matter what firmware it is anymore as long as you can downgrade to the 3.9 bootloader. In time, there will be a straight OTB 1.1.4 unlock, but it can be done now.

I just bought 2 8GB phones yesterday at Apple store and they all have 1.1.3 Firmware. The new ones should come out first week of March.
