Hi,

I'm thinking to add a 2nd 2017 iPad Pro 10.5 with LTE. However, I never used a LTE model, hence the question:

This is an USA model. The seller said the LTE is never activated. So, can I just get a $25 T-Mobile sim card kit and activate the LTE?

If not, what else do I need to go?

Thanks,

Eric

Yes. Even if it was activated you can switch between carriers. I bought a used model with a Verizon SIM, brought it to an ATT store and had it hooked up with a new SIM in 10 minutes.

The 2017 models have an e-SIM as well. You might not even need to buy a T-Mobile SIM card.
